Local Exhaust Ventilation – LEV

PositiveProtectLEVscreen.pngThis course is a users guide, looking into the world of good and bad LEV systems. Whether

you are the Health and Safety Manager, Maintenance or Safety Representative, this course is for you.

The topic of LEV is technical with many calculations. This course will show you how things work so you can see for yourself how to make sure that your LEV is up to the job without maths. Also, this course does not substitute for an LEV design and testing qualification

gained with the British Occupational Hygiene Society.

Who is this training for?

Do you know where you stand legally with the design and use of LEV? Do you know if you are using your LEV correctly? Do you know what to do if your LEV goes wrong? If you don’t

then consider using our Local Exhaust Ventilation course. You will learn all the necessary steps that are involved with LEV.

What does the course cover?

Our LEV course will cover all the legal aspects. You will learn where LEV fits into the hierarchy of control of hazardous substances so that you can justify its selection over masks. Know how LEV can go wrong and what to do to prevent this.

What is the benefit to your business?

Giving detailed knowledge on important aspects of LEV to your staff. Providing quick but effective training minimising downtime in your workplace.

“Thousands of employees made ill by contaminants they were breathing in at work, despite using extraction and masks. The controls of LEV and masks were not controlling exposures”

HSE - Health Safety Executive
