Some individuals may be more at risk of abuse than others. For example, individuals who have care and support needs are not inherently vulnerable, but they may come to be at risk of abuse due to:

Illness (mental or physical)

Disabilities

Age

Not having support networks or being socially isolated

Who is this training for?

Our Safeguarding – Vulnerable People Course is for anyone who works in the health and social care sector and

works with service users who require care of some sort.

This course will offer your staff quick and effective safeguarding training to help them become aware of certain situations. The training is suitable for private and public sector companies, including community homes (care homes) and other organisations in the healthcare sector.

 

What does the course cover?

The Safeguarding – For Vulnerable People Course answers the following questions:

- Which settings protect children, young people and adults?

- What are Local Safeguarding Boards?

- What is the Local Safeguarding Board for children/young people?

- What is the Local Safeguarding Board for adults?

This course will offer your staff quick and effective safeguarding training to help them become aware of the different types of people who are more susceptible to abuse and therefore potentially in higher need of safeguarding. importance of safeguarding within the healthcare and social care sector. at any time to suit your needs.

 

This Safeguarding Children, Young People and Adults Course will build on your knowledge of safeguarding vulnerable groups. When you have completed the awareness training, you should have a better understanding of what makes individuals vulnerable and the services that protect children, young people and adults.


 

Test and Certification

At the end of the course you will be given a test of 10 multiple choice questions. The required pass rate is 80%.

You will be able to download and print (if required) a digital certificate on completion of the course.

Course certificate lasts for 3 years

Approximately 18 minutes. (excluding time taken for the final exam)
