Who
is this training for?
This course is
aimed at the Client of any construction project, this is a key role under CDM
2015 regulations. If you are unsure of what you have comply with then this
course will cover these aspects and much more.
What
does the course cover?
An outline of the
requirements of the Construction (Design and Management) Regulations 2015 for
the Client. Including definitions, applications and the main duties placed on
the key roles.
What
is the benefit to your business?
If your organisation performs any of the duties under the Construction (Design and management) Regulations 2015, persons performing these duties on your behalf need to understand and appreciate the duties placed upon them. Even if persons such as managers and procurement do not directly perform these duties they need to have an understanding of the requirements.
The “Client” is the person or
organisation who wants the construction work done and this does not depend on
whoever is funding the project.
The CDM Regulations place
responsibilities for managing the health and safety of a construction project
on three main duty holders. The Client has overall responsibility for the
successful management of the project and is supported by the Principal Designer
and Principal Contractor in different phases of the project.
